How Stripe Fees Work in Canada
Stripe Canada charges a percentage-based fee plus a flat per-transaction fee on every payment. For Canadian domestic cards, the standard rate is 2.9% + C$0.30. International cards cost 3.9% + C$0.30, and there is an additional 1% currency conversion fee when applicable.
These fees are deducted automatically from each payment before the funds reach your Stripe balance. There are no monthly fees, no setup costs, and no hidden charges for the standard plan.
All amounts are in Canadian dollars (CAD). If you accept payments in USD or other currencies, Stripe applies a currency conversion fee on top of the standard transaction rate.
